Anaïs Varo is an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Area at the University of Girona. She holds a Ph.D. in Politics, Policy, and Institutions, and a M.A in Human Rights and Citizenship with a specialization in Institutions and Civil society. Currently. She is a member of the UNITWIN Network and UNESCO University Chair in Sustainable Human Development. She has been honored with high distinctions for her undergraduate studies, Master and Doctoral studies. She received the Spanish National Prize of Graduation in Social Science and Law. She has completed research stays at the Metropolitan Autonomous University (Mexico City) and Ecofys (Utrecht). She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship at Northeastern University.
