Institut de Química Computacional i Catàlisi

Last week the University of Girona (UdG) announced that Dr. Eduard Matito, former member at the Institut de Química Computacional i Catàlisi (IQCC), received the Alumin UdG award 2025, for his scientific career of research and knowledge.

He did his PhD in the Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis (IQCC) under the supervision of Prof. Miquel Solà and Prof. Miquel Duran about “Development, implementation and application of electronic structural descriptors to the analysis of the chemical bonding, aromaticity and chemical reactivity”. After that, he was Junior Research Group Leader at IQCC (2011-2015) and now he is a researcher at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
