The Comparative Minds Research Group at the University of Girona is pleased to announce the signing of a new collaboration agreement with the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Leipzig. This agreement solidifies the long-standing partnership between both institutions and aims to support cutting-edge research in the fields of animal behaviour, comparative cognition, and primatology. Our research group, under the co-leadership of Dr. Miquel Llorente, has a robust history of collaboration with Dr. Federica Amici and her team at Leipzig. Together, we have produced numerous joint publications that explore various aspects of primate behaviour, cognitive processes, and animal welfare. This partnership has advanced our understanding of complex social interactions, cognition, and behavioural patterns across species. With this new agreement, we aim to deepen our collaborative efforts, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, resources, and research methodologies between the two institutions. The agreement will also open new opportunities for students and researchers at both universities to engage in interdisciplinary projects, further enriching academic and professional development. By combining the expertise of our two institutions, we expect to contribute significantly to the scientific community’s understanding of animal cognition and behaviour, reinforcing our position at the forefront of this exciting field of research.
