-Course mark
Weighted average of the different assignments proposed during the course
-Submission of assigned work or exercises
All assessment work and exercises that are assigned and are not submitted within the established deadlines will be graded with a score of 0 points and cannot be recovered.
-The use of AI in the course
The use of AI tools is encouraged and permitted for searching for information, generating computer code, preparing a first draft of documents to be submitted or presented, and improving the language of texts.
However, the student is fully responsible: they must understand, validate, and be able to justify the proposals used through AI. This justification will be verified through specific questions in oral defenses or similar activities; the inability to adequately defend the content presented will result in a negative assessment in the evaluation of the activity (ranging from failing the activity to penalizing the grade).
Regarding the use of AI in writing texts, the student is required to carry out a critical reading of the results, avoiding repetitions and unnecessarily lengthy texts.
-Guidelines on plagiarism in assessment activities
In any assessment activity, students may not enter the classroom with any active electronic or communication device (this includes, among others, mobile phones, computers, tablets, smartwatches, and similar devices). If any of these devices are brought into the classroom, they must be turned off and properly stored inside backpacks or bags.
The following, among others, will be considered fraudulent conduct: the use of unauthorized information or devices, the use of false information, identity impersonation, total or partial plagiarism, as well as the buying or selling of exams, problems, practical work, or assignments.
If during the correction process the teaching staff detects reasonable indications of fraud, they may classify the conduct as fraudulent.
The detection of fraudulent conduct will result in a grade of 0 in the corresponding assessment activity. Furthermore, depending on the nature of the fraud, the School Management may initiate the procedures set out in Law 3/2022, of 24 February, on university coexistence, and apply the measures established in Article 21 of the regulations governing the assessment and grading processes of students at the University of Girona.
The teaching staff reserves the right to validate the grade of an activity in order to verify its authorship and grading, in accordance with the assessment methodology of the course and the applicable regulations.
Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
Failure to attend the final assessment test (or any other activity essential for passing the course) will result in a "Not Presented" (No Presentat) grade in the final course grade, with no possibility of recovery.
Avaluació única:
Students who wish to opt for single assessment must request it by following the procedure and schedule established by the Escola Politècnica Superior (Polytechnic School). Single assessment consists of taking the Final Exam.
Requisits mínims per aprovar:
To pass the course, a minimum final grade of 5 out of 10 must be obtained, and none of the circumstances that lead to a "Not Presented" (No Presentat) grade may be incurred.
