Grading
1st CALL:
1. CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT (CA):
The Continuous assessment is regarded as a process to provide evidence of the level of learning achieved by the student. It consists of:
- Case study (rehabilitation protocol): (40%)
- Partial Exam (PE): Theoretical contents will be evaluated through 1 objective evaluation exam (20%).
The dates of the PE, PA, and EGA will be set in the subject calendar at the beginning of the course.
2. FINAL EXAM (FE): Objective test exam of 40 questions, including the whole contents of the subject (40%)
To pass the Neurological Physical Therapy (NPT) subject, the student must obtain a minimum grade of 5,0 in the FE. If the student hasn't overcome the FE, they should present to the 2nd call Basic Competences Exam (BCE).
2nd CALL (BASIC COMPETENCES EXAM):
The Basic Competences Exam will consist of an objective test that includes theoretical content, practical activity content, and workshop content. The maximum grade that a student can obtain in this second call is 5.0 points.
Specific criteria for the "No show" grade:
It will be considered Non-Presented, a sudent who don't present at the CA (due to the PA or PE) or at the FE.
The student will have to recover the parts that have been Not Presented in the first call, by the BCE or by the EGA.
The maximum grade that a student can obtain in this 2nd call is 5.0 points.
Single Assessment:
The evaluation system in EUSES - UdG is based, in general, in the continuous assessment. If the student wishes to take part in the Unique Pathway (UP), he / she will need to request it in writing to the lecturer of the subject and the degree coordinator during the first two weeks of the Semester.
The Unique UP modality will include 2 different assessments in a UNIQUE EXAM:
- Objective evaluation test of 60 questions, including the whole theoretical content and the practical activities (PA) contents (60%).
- Case report including the contents of the workshops and practical activities (40%).
To pass the Unique Pathway, the student must obtain a threshold of 5,0 as a mark in the objective evaluation test.
Minimum requirements to pass:
A minimum grade of 5.0 will be required to pass the subject.
Mentorship
Students may request individual tutoring with the subject teacher to deal with personal situations that may interfere with the normal development of the subject.
The tutorials will be carried out in person in the enabled classrooms and also in virtual meetings.
They must make the request in writing one week in advance.
Communication and interaction with students
Communication and interaction with the students will be by email: mmatamala@euses.cat

Learning outcomes:
- Knowing the physiological and structural changes in neurology occurring as a result of the application of Physiotherapy.
- Knowing the physiotherapy of neurological diseases by identifying the manifestations appearing throughout the process.
- Encouraging user and family participation in the recovery process.
- Identifying the most appropriate physiotherapeutic treatment in the different alteration processes, health prevention and promotion as well as in the growth and development processes.
- Identifying the situation of the neurological patient/user through a diagnosis of physiotherapy care, planning interventions and effectiveness evaluations in a cooperative work environment.
- Knowing and applying the guidelines for good clinical practices.
Design Amendment
Amendment of activities:
Scenario I. In person classes:
The theoretical presentation of contents and the analysis and case studies will be developed in-person in the classrooms enabled in EUSES Campus.
Scenario II and III: Partially In-person:
The classe will be conducted with a group of students in person in the classroom (number determined according to the capacity of the classroom and the building) and another group virtually and synchronously. These groups will have to rotate each week to ensure that attendance for that subject do not imply differences in the presence of each group.
Scenario IV. Confinement: the theoretical exposition of contents and the analysis and case studies will develop through virtual classes and Moodle.
Amendment of the assessment:
Scenario I: In person classes:
The evaluation will be developed as explained in "Avaluació i Qualificació"
Scenario II, III & IV:: Partially in-person or confinement:
The exams will be develop in sincronously through Moodle or in a virtual oral exam. The different parts and percentages will be the same as explained in "Avaluació i Qualificació".
Mentoring and communication:
Scenario I. In person: the tutorials will be carried out in person in enabled classrooms. Communication and interaction with the students will be in person, and the Moodle fórum and email will be used in addition.
Scenario IV. Confinement: Tutorials will be virtually conducted. Communication and interaction with the students will take place virtually, through the forum of Moodle, video-conferencing means and email.
