Grading
Students must achieve above 50% overall for the module but do not need to pass the individual components separately, with the exception of the red flags component of the final exam (20 MCQs), which must be passed with a score of >50%.
For the unique evaluation, students must also score over 50% in the red flag MCQ component.
Students scoring less than 50% will still have the right to sit the basic competencies exam.
Please note that students opting to take the special evaluation must notify their decision to the lecturer before the date specified by the Administration office.
Specific criteria for the "No show" grade:
Student not having taking part in any assessment component in the course, including the BCE, will be considered as 'No Presentat' (NP), and will be given that mark.
Single Assessment:
This pathway will consist of a single exam consisting of 3 clinical case studies and an MCQ exam on red flags.
For the case studies, the student will be expected to (1) formulate likely and possible diagnoses based on the partial information given and fully justify their choice of diagnoses, (2) formulate a well-reasoned assessment plan that can be used to confirm or refute their diagnoses; (2) formulate a comprehensive evidence based treatment plan that covers the given aspects of the patients' biopsychosocial profile. This will constitute 70% of the module mark
In addition, they will be required to submit the spinal case study coursework assignment, which will constitute 30% of the module mark.
Minimum requirements to pass:
Per considerar superada l’assignatura, caldrà obtenir una qualificació mínima de 5.0
Communication and interaction with students
Students should communicate with teachers by email or moodle
Remarks
Learning outcomes:
