Qualificació

The ordinary evaluation system is Continuous Evaluation for all students. Global Evaluation (no class attendance required) is limited to students from previous courses and, in some very special cases, students who are explicitly authorized by the Academic Board of Directors to undergo global evaluation in this subject.

For Continuous Evaluation, a minimum of 80 % class attendance is required, regardless of any justification for non-attendance. Only those absences which are reported by the Academic Board of Directors will not be counted as non-attendance. Students who do not meet the attendance requirement will lose the benefits and partial grades of Continuous Evaluation and must sit a global evaluation, without any further re-sit.

The final marks of Continuous Evaluation will be communicated before the end of the teaching period (May 2020), and in any case before the Global Evaluation period begins.

Continuous evaluation:

This is the ordinary evaluation type. 80% attendance is required, which means that a maximum of 8 hours (2 sessions) may be missed in total.

Students performance will be evaluated by the following criteria:

Participation & attitude: 20%
Homework and class assignments: 20%
Exams: 30%
Presentation: 30%

• There will be regular homework and class assignments to make sure students understand and practice the contents dealt with in class. Some of them will be individual and some teamwork.
• There will be an exam after each lesson, not at the end of each lesson but at the beginning of the next one, that will test students’ individual knowledge in the field of Events Planning and management and focus on theoretical aspects.
• Assignments must be submitted on time. Students will be able to submit them up to 24 hours after the deadline, but with a 10% discount of the grade. Assignments will not be accepted after 24 hours of the deadline.

Global evaluation:

Repeat students (students from previous years; no class attendance required) must sit a global exam which covers the whole subject. The exam will be a test.

Re-sit exam:

The re-sit exam (Reevaluación) is a second chance for students who have not passed continuous or global evaluation (minimum of 5), and for those who do not reach 80% of attendance in the continuous evaluation. The exam covers the whole subject. The exam will be a test.

Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
A student who fails to sit at least one of the evaluations mentioned above (continuous evaluation activities / final exam / re-sit exam) will be qualified “Not presented”.
