The assessment of this subject is based on several components, each with a specific weighting, as outlined below:
1) Lecture Attendance and Class Participation – 20%
2) Assignment – 20%
3) Final Project – 60%
The Final Project comprises a group presentation and individual performance during the presentation.
1. Assessment Details
1) Lecture Attendance and Class Participation
Students are expected to attend classes regularly and actively contribute to discussions, practical exercises, case analyses, and group activities. Assessment will consider attendance, preparedness, engagement with course content, and constructive participation in classroom activities.
Attendance will be assessed on a completed/not completed basis. If attendance records indicate that the required minimum attendance of 70% has not been met, the mark for this component will be recorded as 0.
2) Assignment
This component is based on the average marks obtained from case studies and analyses completed as assignments. If any of these activities are not submitted, a mark of 0 will be assigned for that activity.
3) Final Project
The Final Project consists of two elements: Group Presentation and Individual Performance during the presentation. Failure to complete either element will result in a mark of 0 for the entire Final Project.
2. Notes
1) Attendance is compulsory. Students must attend at least 70% of the course sessions. Failure to meet this requirement will result in an automatic fail (“SUSPENS”) for the subject, regardless of assessment performance.
2) A minimum mark of 5 out of 10 in each assessment component is required in order to qualify for final mark calculation. If this threshold is not met, the overall result for the subject will be “SUSPENS”.
3) To pass the subject, students must meet all minimum requirements stated above and achieve a final weighted average of at least 5 out of 10, calculated as follows:
Final Mark = (Lecture Attendance and Class Participation × 0.2) + (Assignment × 0.2) + (Final Project × 0.6)
3. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools
Students may use generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) as learning aids for brainstorming, language support, and editing. However, the use of AI is analogous to assistance from another person. Students remain fully responsible for all submitted work. The substantial completion of any assessment component by AI is not permitted. In particular, students may not submit AI-generated reports, analyses, presentations, or project plans as their own work.
Students must be able to explain and defend all aspects of their work during presentations and discussions.
Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
The student will receive a mark of “NO PRESENTAT” (Not Submitted) in either of the following cases:
1) The attendance rate is below 70%; or
2) The Final Project, either the Group Presentation or the Individual Performance component, is not completed.
Avaluació única:
The unique evaluation is composed of two parts:
1) Individual Project Presentation – 40%
An individual presentation in which students demonstrate their understanding, analysis, and application of the course content through a selected or assigned project topic.
2) Written Examination – 60%
A written examination designed to evaluate whether students have achieved a sufficient understanding of the course content.
The final mark is calculated as follows:
Final mark = Individual Project Presentation × 0.4 + Written Examination × 0.6
In order to pass the course, students must obtain a minimum mark of 5 in each component.
Reassessment is permitted for the written examination only.
Requisits mínims per aprovar:
In order to pass the subject, students must obtain a minimum final mark of 5.0 out of 10.
A minimum mark of 5 out of 10 in each assessment component is required in order to proceed to final mark calculation.
