Activitats d'avaluació: Descripció de l'activitat Avaluació de l'activitat % Recuperable Problem Solving Sessions (1st semester) Research done. Clarity of the exposition. Use of AI is not allowed in this activity. 5 No Mechanics: Finite Element Simulations (1st semester). Solution and analysis of several situations in biomechanics/bioengineerings: joints, prostheses, bones, tissues, etc Goodness of solution. Clarity of the reporting. The use of AI is allowed to improve clarity and use of English. In casesome content is generated using AI, the student must explicitly mention it and must give the prompts used. In this case, the student will assume any mistake in the AI-generated text as their own. 15 No Mechanics: Final Exam (1st semester) Solution development. Goodness of solution. Clarity of reporting. -The format of this evaluation activity is: exam. Such kind of activity does no allow the use of artificial intelligence. 30 Sí Biomaterials: Laboratory practicum (2nd semester) Capacity to fabricate a simple biomaterial. Performance of characterization. The evaluation will be a composition of the validation of the student in the laboratory and the quality of the report of the activities. - The professor cannot avoid the use of artificial intelligence to deliver the corresponding report of the practicum period. So, the students must inform about the use of these tools in the deliverable. Anyhow, the final exam will incorporate questions about these activity and in this case no use of IA is allowed in this activity. 10 No Biomaterials: Final Exam (2nd semester) Solution development. Goodness of solution. Clarity of reporting. -The format of this evaluation activity is: exam. Such kind of activity does no allow the use of artificial intelligence. 30 Sí Collaborative work with a final exposition in the room. The student will receive a topic in the field of biomaterials and must perform a bibliographic search and an collaborative exposition together with the other members of the working group The final qualification of this activity will be a composition of different factors: collaborative and individual such as quality of the bibliographic research, quality of the presentation, skill during discussion and active performance. The building of the powerpoint document is expected to be done through the reading and understanding of the documents provided by the professor. The use of artificial intelligence tools is not avoided but must be mentioned in the credits slide. Anyhow, the discussion period during exposition will allow to the professor to confirm if the document has been just "copied" or built under knowledge criteria, and the final score will reflect this situation. 10 No
Evaluation activities will be face-to-face. Every evaluation activity will be focused on the independent development of the student to solve problematic situation characterized by a human need. Creativity based on knowledge will be considered mandatory to get over each activity. Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»: All students MUST attend all evaluation activities. If a student does not participate in any of the scheduled evaluation activities, the grade will be recorded as NOT TAKEN/ABSENT. In the case of a global evaluation, students who do not take the final exam will receive a NOT TAKEN grade Avaluació única: Global evaluation covering both semesters. At the end of the course, students will take a single exam that includes content from both the first part (Mechanics) and the second part (Biomaterials). This exam will account for 100% of the final grade. Students who, for justified reasons, opt for this evaluation method must inform both the course instructors and the Academic Secretary before the established deadline. The Academic Secretary will be responsible for approving the request. Requisits mínims per aprovar: To be considered as PASSED, the student should reach 5 over 10 grade in the global qualification. Moreover, there are two final exams (one each semester) that are recoverable. A minimum grade of 3.5 in these two exams will be needed to reach average qualification.
