Description:
- The legal and political dimension of diversity and its relationship with non-discrimination. The course proposes a diverse understanding of equality and positive action measures in the face of situations of exclusion and inequality. It proposes a feminist reading of law and public policies and addresses the study of the collective rights of indigenous peoples and the rights to cultural, functional, religious or sexual diversity (LGTBI+Q), among others.

Grading
The final qualification will be obtained from the sum of two activities:
1) Elaboration of a short dissertation (about 10 pages), which can be individual or collective, and its oral defence (50%).
2) A written test taking as a reference the topics covered in class and the texts used (50%).
VERY IMPORTANT: To pass the course it is necessary to have attended at least 5 of the 7 sessions. Participation in class will be taken also into account.
Specific criteria for the "No show" grade:
"The 'Not Attended' grade is obtained when the individual written test (in general evaluation) or the oral exam (in single evaluation) has not been completed.
Single Assessment:
Oral exam where the teacher can ask questions about the contents of the texts posted on the moodle as reference material. The oral exam can be taken in person or online and it will take place after the last session of the course.
Minimum requirements to pass:
In order to pass the course, a minimum grade of 5.0 must be obtained in each of the evaluation activities.
If the individual examen is not passed, it may be recovered by means of an oral exam. The short dissertation is not a recoverable activity.
Mentorship
A timetable will be set for face-to-face tutorials. In the event of an emergency that makes this difficult, online tutorials will be scheduled.
Communication and interaction with students
Through tutorials, which may be individual or collective. Alternatively, also through communication by e-mail (marco.aparicio@udg.edu) or moodle.
Remarks
The aim is to link some of the activities of the course with the activities of the "Clínica SòcioJurídica" (Legal Clinic), in accordance with the indications that will be presented on the first day of class.
