Telecommunications Engineer from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, 1993) and PhD from Universitat de Girona (UdG, 2004), with over 30 years of experience as a lecturer teaching various subjects. From September 2009 to September 2011, they worked in the private sector, in the R&D&I department of Lafcarr Project & Design, a company dedicated to Information and Communication Technologies. They currently work as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Automatic Engineering at the University of Girona. They have extensive experience in the design and development of electronic systems involving hardware design for Internet of Things devices, data acquisition, wireless sensor networks, communications, signal processing, as well as Artificial Intelligence techniques. Their research focuses mainly on the development of embedded systems for IoT, edge computing applications and Artificial Intelligence applied to several fields.
