Born in Salt (Girona) in 1997. He obtained his Bachelors in Biology at Universitat de Girona in 2019, with the end of career award in his promotion. During his Bachelors he did an Erasmus+ Traineeship stay in Sweden at University of Uppsala. He enrolled for a Masters in Advanced Genetics at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2019 and finished it in 2020. During the program he did his Master Thesis at Institut de Biologia Evolutiva (CSIC-UPF) within the Comparative Genomics Lab. In 2020, he was awarded an INPhINIT Retaining Fellowship from "la Caixa" Foundation and he held a PhD position in Barcelona, at Institut de Biologia Evolutiva - Universitat Pompeu Fabra, advised by Dr. Tomàs Marquès i Bonet. His research goals are related to the assembly of high-quality genomes of multiple species to help assess their conservation status, allowing for further population genomic analysis and studies of these species, and facilitating the performance of comparative genomic analyses. Currently he is working as an associate professor at the Universitat de Girona.
