PhD by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Construction (EMCI), and a researcher at the AMADE Research Group (Analysis and Advanced Materials for Structural Design). His doctoral thesis, "Development of a New Energy Dissipator for Seismic-Resistant Design" (April 2001), received the highest distinction, Excellent CUM LAUDE. His research focuses on passive design in seismic-resistant buildings, primarily developing innovative energy-dissipating braces and working on low-cycle fatigue models to predict their lifespan.
