Anna Equisuany Ruiz (Premià de Mar, 1991) studied a degree in Biology at the University of Vic, graduating in July 2020. Subsequently, she took the master's degree "Environmental Change: Analysis and Management" at the University of Girona (UdG), obtaining her degree in July 2021. In September 2022 she joined the UdG as a support technician for the "FunMetaNet" project, in which, on 01 January 2023, she joined as a pre-doctoral student with a grant from the Ministry associated with the project. The pre-doctoral thesis is developed in the GRECO (Group of Continental Aquatic Ecology) in the research line Limnology of Mediterranean Lagoons and Wetlands. Her research is based on the study of the functioning of the metacommunity of invertebrate organisms in continental aquatic systems. During his pre-doctoral period he spent three months (March-May) in Budapest, Hungary, at the research center "Institute of Aquatic Ecology (HUN-REN)".
