My current research involves teleost reproductive condition and its variability associated with population differences. Specifically, I am conducting my PhD in the analysis of the genomic variability and condition of Sardine populations in the Mediterranean Sea and its implications for fishery management. My background is in fish reproductive physiology and genetics. Previous research that I carried out is related to the reproductive study of rare fish species in an area as a method of predicting their settlement in a scenario of global warming that favours invasions. Moreover, I have worked in the study of the immune system-reproductive system interactions in zebrafish model species, with the focus on epigenetic mechanisms.
