Judith Ollé Vilanova holds a PhD in Biology and is a researcher at the Laboratory of Genetics and Ichthyology at the University of Girona, where she combines teaching and research in the fields of genetics, genomics, and the conservation of marine species. She earned her Bachelor''s degree in Biology and her Master''s degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from the University of Girona, and later completed a postgraduate qualification in Bioinformatics at the Open University of Catalonia. Her research focuses on fish population genetics, phylogeny, reproductive biology, and the application of genomic tools to the conservation and sustainable management of fisheries resources. She has been affiliated with the University of Girona for more than ten years. She joined the Area of Genetics as an Associate Lecturer during the 2016–2017 academic year and, since 2025, has been a Lecturer in Genetics, combining undergraduate and postgraduate teaching with an active research programme within the Laboratory of Genetics and Ichthyology.
