The ocean is highly impacted by human activities, and ambitious levels of science are urgently needed to support decision making in order to achieve sustainability. Governments have recognized that no single nation can on its own fill these scientific knowledge gaps, and this has led to a numer of agreements to support internacional scientific collaboration and the exchange of information and capacity. How can ocean science support negotiations toward a more sustainable future? Confirmed speakers: Melania Guerra. Director of Science Strategy at Planet and Consultant in Science and Ocean Diplomacy. Andrei Polejack. Former General Coordinator for Oceans, Antarctica and Geosciences of Brazilian Ministery of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications. Josep Lluís Pelegrí.
