Activitats d'avaluació: Descripció de l'activitat Avaluació de l'activitat % Task-based learning activities in class The student has to attend 80% of the classes and participate in the activities in order to be in the Continuous Evaluation system. There is a final exam in the last week of term for students who do not qualify for Continuous Evaluation. 0 Writing assignments There are 6 writing assignments. You have to write, hand in, and then correct the text. 0 Oral presentations. The oral presentations are evaluated on fluency and coherence, vocabulary range and control, grammatical range and accuracy and pronunciation, intonation and intelligibility. 12,5 End of course test. The test will evaluate reading, use of English,writing,listening and speaking. 50 In-class writing tests The writing tests will be evaluated on overall impression, register and task achievement, cohesion,fluency and organization, vocabulary range and control, and grammatical range and accuracy. 12,5 Mid-term test The test will evaluate language covered in the course. 25
EVALUATION SYSTEM Assessment Criteria 2014-15 English Tourism In order to pass the course, students have two options: • Continuous Assessment • Final Exam Continuous Assessment In order to qualify for continuous assessment, students must attend at least 80% of the classes. In the event that a student does not complete an assignment on the date set, it will be marked as No presentada and given a point value of zero. Here is the breakdown of the weight each of the evaluated language skills has in the passing of the course: • Course work: 50 points: o Writing 12.5 points: 2 in-class writings o Speaking 12.5 points: 2 in-class oral presentations o Mid-term test 25 points: 2 readings (12.5 points) + 2 listenings (12.5 points) • Final exam: 50 points: o Writing 12.5 points o Speaking 12.5 points o Listening 12.5 points o Reading 12.5 points To pass, a student must achieve a minimum of 60 points of the 100 possible and must also achieve a minimum of 10 out of the total 25 points possible for each skill. Final exam The final mark will be given by the sum of the results in all the language skills evaluated in the final exam. Here is the breakdown of the points: • Final exam: 100 points: o Writing 25 points o Speaking 25 points o Listening 25 points o Reading 25 points To pass, a student must achieve a minimum of 60 points of the 100 possible and achieve a minimum of 10 out of the total 25 points possible for each skill. Students who achieve fewer than 60 points (whether by continuous assessment or final exam) will fail the course. El alumne necessita el nivell d'anglès suficient (B1) per començar a cursar aquesta assignatura. Si aprova l'assignatura, l'alumne tindrà el nivell suficient per començar a cursar nivell B2.2 Es molt important assistir a classe amb regularitat donat que les classes són participatives i pràctiques. The students needs to have a (B1) level to follow the course. If the student passes the level, he or she will have the level to begin a B2.2 level course. It is very important to come to class regularly as the classes are participative.
