Informa't sobre els graus, els postgraus i tota l'oferta formativa de la UdG.
La docència es concentra en les facultats i escoles, i els departaments assumeixen la recerca, que també duen a terme instituts i càtedres, divulgadors alhora del coneixement.
On 12 December 1991 the Parliament of Catalonia passed a law creating the University of Girona. This culminated a long historical process riddled with ups and downs that started back in 1446 when Alfons the Magnanimous promulgated the decree founding the Estudi General de Girona.
The bachelor's degree courses are new programmes emerging from the convergence process towards the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and will gradually replacing traditional first and second cycle studies.
The adaptation of EHEA studies will align programme lengths, methods of instruction and assessment in order to promote student mobility and create a system of credit recognition and transfer for all of Europe.
These new programmes are measured in ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits, each of which represents over 25 hours of student work. The degree programmes contain 240 ECTS credits (divided over four years), but studies governed by European Community law may set a higher number of credits. This is the case of the degree in medicine, which is divided into six years of 60 ECTS credits each.
Studies leading to bachelor's degrees are formalised (recognised for academic and professional purposes with fees set, in Catalonia, by the government, the Generalitat) and provide access to university master's degree studies, also official and adjusted to the EHEA.

The MTU - Master’s Technical Unit - promotes master's and doctoral studies. Studies in these units have been adapted to the European Higher Education Area to meet international standards.
The master’s programmes aim to provide students with advanced and specialised or multidisciplinary training to prepare them for academic or professional careers, or provide an initiation to research work.
The official master's are the first courses offered as part of the new configuration of university studies within the EHEA framework. These studies are officially recognised and, depending on the orientation (professional, research or mixed mode), provide access to doctoral studies.
The official master’s programmes offered at the UdG are organised into five main areas: Experimental Sciences and Sustainability; Human and Cultural Sciences; Social, Educational and Health Sciences; Technology; and Tourism, Law and Business.
