The Aquatic Ecology Research Group (EcoAqua) of the Institute of Aquatic Ecology is a Research Group Recognised by the Government of Catalonia 2021-2023 (2021 SGR 1142). EcoAqua is a big interdisciplinary group, with long experience in several areas of limnological research, such as microbial ecology, ecotoxicology and the ecology of various types of organisms, from bacteria and algae to invertebrates and fish, in rivers, lakes, reservoirs and wetlands.
