Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences

Relations with the FCEE society

The Faculty enjoys excellent employability: in 2020, 93.2% of our alumni were employed; 80.7% found employment in under three months; 43.5% had a monthly salary of over €2,000 and the average level of satisfaction with work was 8.1 out of 10.

The Faculty maintains strong links to companies and institutions. The academic year 2021-22 saw the faculty arranging 165 work placements in local Catalan and multinational companies as well as in public-authority bodies (Diputació de Girona, Government of Catalonia and the Spanish government's delegation to Girona Ministerio de Hacienda).

The Faculty has strong ties with several professional associations, including the Catalan Economists Association, the Catalan Auditors Association and the Administrative Managers Association; all these institutions have currently been awarding our valuable students during their graduation ceremonies, also taking part in specific educational activities. We also have ties with Catalan and Spanish employers’ organisations, such as PIMEC.

Some enterprises take part directly in the Faculty's educational activities. For example, MAPFRE, an insurance company, co-organises a simulation game aimed at our students and provides a cycle of talks. Renta4 as well, an investment bank, organises not just stock market games for the faculty’s students but also a stock market game designed for secondary-education school students interested in studying, in the future, business management or finance.
