The purpose of any research is to formulate a question of research that it helps to find what is searched and to make path towards a knowledge. Does this question serve as thread of the research, but how a good question of research is reached? Which criteria have to guide the theoretical formulation? Which are the advantages and inconveniences of different designs of research? How do the empirical data have to be interpreted in the social research? As members of a society saturated with media, we all enter in touch regularly with great or small researches through results of surveys, discerned and of more or less massive data. However, many of us do not think too much in how him they make these researches. Even as students of social sciences, it is very probable that you read the research of academicians without proposing to yourselves how an initial question is reached. Acquiring the habit of the reflection towards any research and to learn as the research carries out, the general theories that sustain the good research as well as the practicals most specific to determinate methods of research, it will make you not only one better students and investigators, but also better consumers of academic and popular research.
