- Proporcionar les bases sobre què és la intel·ligència artificial (AI), una disciplina que es converteix en transversal a qualsevol camp de recerca, de manera que els estudiants puguin plantejar-se la incorporació de la IA a la seva recerca. Introducció als diferents enfocaments, paradigmes, tendències i reptes de l'AI. Conèixer les eines actuals d'AI per a l'aprenentatge automàtic i la presa de decisions, així com els problemes ètics, socials i de sostenibilitat relacionats.

Qualificació
Evaluation criteria regarding the report includes the justification of selection of a AI technique for dealing with a research problem, synthesis capacity, performance of an experimental work.
The report should be provided by the Moodle platform at the date/time required. Otherwise, the student will have a second chance to provide the report (recovery), but with a reduced maximum score.
Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
The no presentation of the report, will lead to the NP qualification.
Avaluació única:
Special cases will we attended according to the Doctoral School norms.
Requisits mínims per aprovar:
A minimum grade of 5.0 must be obtained to pass the subject.
Tutoria
Tutorships will be attended under appointment (to be requested via the Moodle tools or electronic mail).
Comunicacio i interacció amb l'estudiantat
During the course sessions, the students could ask questions according to the protocol stablied by the professor (raise your hand in presential mode, icone or other alternative in virtual mode).
The News forum of the course’s Moodle is encouraged as the main via for doubts and questions arisen out of the course session, so as all the students could access to the information.
Individual requests will be managed by e-mail.
Observacions
There is a total of three sessions, combining lecture room with lab (computer) room.
When required, virtual sessions will be enabled. But in-person class is encouraged to enhance networking among the students.
Lab sessions are easy to follow by persons with low skills in computer programming (tutorials, step by step), with the use of Jupiter sheets that merge explanatory text, code, and results.
