Application

Who

Students pursuing curricula which will be discontinued can apply for their curriculum to be adapted to the new one, providing a fixed table of equivalence between the old one and the new one exists.

Where

To request the adaptation, access My UdG with your user name and password and go to the Network Secretariat. Click on “Report”, then the tab “Plan Adaptation”.

How?
First step

If your academic situation allows your curriculum to be adapted, the system will inform you of the bachelor's degree or bachelor's degrees which you can request. Access the table or general tables of equivalence to check which possible subjects correspond in each case. The column of the left (Origin) shows you the subjects of the current plan of which may be suitable for recognition, and the column on the right (Target) their equivalence in subjects from the curriculum of bachelor's degree.

Second step

Click “continue” and you will be able to check which recognition could apply in your case, based on your current or future academic situation. In the grid, by default you will find the subjects you’ve passed from your current curriculum marked in blue (any that are missing may be because the corresponding file for that subject has not been finalised; check with your teaching institution), but you can mark others to simulate a hypothetical posterior adaptation, with more subjects passed.

Third step

Click “Continue” and you will be able to see and print, if you wish, the result of the recognition simulation: the column of the left (Origin) shows you the subjects passed on your current curriculum which could be recognised, while the column on the right (Target) shows the subjects on the newer bachelor's degree curriculum that would be recognised. Below you will see the subjects of your current plan not suitable for recognition, if any, and further down the total of recognised credits. Finally, you will be able to see which subjects you could do in the new curriculum if you request the adaptation. If you see that next year you will not be able to enrol for enough credits (in accordance with the article 4 of the rules of permanence), it may be more convenient for you to wait until the following course to proceed with the adaptation.

Fourth step

If you have decided to continue the procedure, go back to the initial screen of “Plan Adaptation” and click “Request adaptation”. Your application will show as “pending” and the University will start the corresponding procedure. During the next 24 hours you will have the option to cancel the application by clicking "Cancel Adaptation".

Comments

Before starting the procedure check what your adaptation would be like by using the recognition simulator Link to another portal UdG. You can consult the recognition table for your curriculum in the third step of the simulation. You can also simulate what the adaptation would be like based on your current record. You can also add the subjects that you would enrol for in the future, to check if it is better for you to adapt now, with your current academic situation, or if it would benefit you more at some point in the future.

Remember that the procedure cannot start until the last qualifications are final and are included on your record. Before starting the process, if you need to, check the Regulations for the recognition and transfer of credits.

Decision

When
After two days at most you will receive an email in your UdG mailbox with the confirmation of the application and notification that the effects of the process have already been included on your record.
How?
In this message you will also be informed of the procedure and the deadlines to request a review of the recognition in case you are not in agreement with the result. If you are in agreement, you will be able to enrol for the curriculum for the newer degree and the subjects which have not be recognised for you in the adaptation process.
