The first four lecture days will be devoted to innovation management and strategic concepts, like entrepreneurship, networking, systems of innovation, etc., and to explain why they are important in tourism organizations. During the last day of lectures (Monday 28th) two practitioners/professionals will present their experiences as entrepreneurs. Task 1. Please read the article “Doing more to attract new custom”. You have to write a short report with the following contents: 1. Brief abstract of the activities of the two experiences (half a page) 2. How these activities cope with the framework of the article? (maximum 1 page) Task 2. Read the paper of J. Sundbo on “Tourism firms’ entrepreneurial network approach. Practitioners will present their cases but won’t necessarily deal with all or some of the issues relevant for the assignment.
