It's useful to know

Tourism, the number one economic sector in Barcelona, together with the knowledge of Marketing offered on this double degree, enables students to explore new horizons in a field which is both cross-disciplinary and exciting. The Dual bachelor's degree Tourism / Marketing includes in its curriculum contents and skills from the two disciplines: languages, management, economics, commercial research, communication, new information technologies, law, internationalisation, computer science, among others.

It also introduces innovative aspects in the academic field, related to the programming, execution and evaluation of the teaching, and promotes among students mobility, the acquisition of attitudes such as enterprising initiative, leadership and critical thinking. In this context, Mediterrani has an Internal Quality Plan based on standard UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008, the aim of which is to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement which enables us to continue being a university centre of academic excellence in Barcelona.

Careers

Students will be able to work in marketing and sales departments. They will have the skills to conduct audits and carry out marketing consultations. They will also be able to work in research and distribution in marketing departments. The great advantage of studying the double qualification in tourism and marketing is that you will be able to work in any tourism sector, such as ski resorts, natural parks, hotels, cruise ships, travel agencies, tourism consultancy firms, etc. Thanks to the professional skills you'll acquire on the double degree in tourism and marketing, you will leave ready to take on a position of responsibility in public and private sector institutions linked to the tourism and marketing sectors.

In order to complete the second stage of your university career, EU Mediterrani also offers the most prestigious postgraduate courses in Barcelona. In the Mediterrani building, you can study for a Postgraduate Diploma in Tourism Management Skills, which will enable you to take on positions of responsibility in the management of the highest level tourism companies. However, the leading programme is without a doubt the Master in Strategic Management of Tourism Companies, an own course with the degree awarded by the UdG, which offers four specialist course options: Cruise Tourism Management, Accommodation Company Management, Managing Marketing and E-Commerce, and Events and Conference Management. Placements

Students have to gain a series of credits, as part of their studies, which correspond to internships in companies or institutions relating to the bachelor’s degree they are studying. The teaching load is determined in accordance with the curriculum.

Bachelor's thesis

To obtain the degree, students have to complete a bachelor's thesis (TFG) which serves to assess the general skills they have acquired over the course of the degree programme and offers a summary of the skills and knowledge they have acquired. The teaching load of the thesis depends on the curriculum of the degree.

Mobility

Students can complete part of their degree programme abroad through the Erasmus programme, which enables them to carry on their studies whilst undertaking an international exchange with academic value in a European university.

They also have access to grants for placements at universities in Spain and on other continents, thanks to bilateral agreements, the SICUE programme and the expansion of the Erasmus+ Programme.
