Students must do 6 optional credits of external academic placements for the bachelor's degree in Biology, and can also do some additional equivalent placements fro the bachelor's degree in Biotechnology. These placements consist of a period with any collaborating organisation, public or private, national or foreign, the goal being to apply and add to the training acquired, bring the student closer to the reality of the professional field they will be working in and develop skills that facilitate their access to the job market. To obtain the degree, students have to complete a bachelor's thesis (TFG) which serves to assess the general skills they have acquired over the course of the degree programme and offers a summary of the skills and knowledge they have acquired.
