In February 2004, the State Association of University Programmes for Older People was set up with the aim of fostering, coordinating and consolidating the different university education experiences for older people in Spain.
This association is a means to share experiences, propose innovative aspects and ensure the quality of this education both in the seat of universities and in wider contexts. At present there are 45 universities associated with AEPUM.
