International mobility is the best gateway to the cultural diversity of Europe and the world. A local language obviously affords great diversity, especially when it is a less spoken one. The European Commission collaborates to promote the use and dissemination of minority languages.
At the University of Girona, the International Office, together with the Modern Language Service, organises the Introductory Course on Catalan Language and Culture. It is offered each semester before the beginning of the regular classes and lasts for two weeks. Those who attend it can obtain 3 ECTS credits, so it can be included in the Learning Agreement.
Dates:
- Second semester: 27th August to 9th September 2024 (Online)
Please, see the general programme of the Online Introductory course on catalan language and culture
The course is FREE of charge for all the students under the ERASMUS+, SICUE and bilateral Agreement exchange programmes.
We strongly recommend that exchange mobility students make their best effort to attend it. It is an excellent way to improve the results of their stay at our university. Please include this option on the application form. Places are limited!!
