Avaluació i qualificació

Activitats d'avaluació:

Descripció de l'activitat Avaluació de l'activitat % Recuperable
Team work of a selected topic The ability to summarize, goal understanding, results and discussion of the works prepared in reduced groups (2-3 people) will be assessed.
Students have to do a written work of the selected topic.
30 No
Individual exam 1: multiple choice questions First part of the final evaluation of the course content with an exam of multiple choice questions. 30
Individual exam 2: reasoned short answers, correlation of concepts, ability to summarize complex regulatory networks with schemes ...etc. Second part of the final evaluation of the course: This is a different typology of exam with open questions with the aim of evaluate the students reasoning and ability to summarize complex concepts discussed all along course. 40

Qualificació

The final grade of the written work will be the same for all the group members that have been involved in the work preparation.

The grade of the individual final exam will be the sum of punctuation of each one of the exercises proposed. Their value will be indicated in each exercise. To pass the course it is mandatory to reach a minimum of 5 over 10 in this exam.

In case that any student does not get a final grade of 5 over 10, only the individual final exam can be repeated.

Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
It is mandatory the attendance at a minimum of 80% of the lectures to pass the course. A NOT PRESENTED student implies that he/she has not done the final exam and/or that has not presented the written work or has attended less than the 80% of the lectures.

In case of single evaluation, A NOT PRESENTED STUDENT implies that he/she has not done the single final exam and/or has not attended a minimum of 60% of the lectures.

Avaluació única:
Students that can opt for a single evaluation, it would consist in a final exam of the whole content of the course. The exam might content different types of questions: multiple choice, right-wrong questions, reasoned short questions ..., etc. This exam will account for the 100% of the final grade obtained by the student and if failed may be repeated only once.

Students should attend a minimum of 60% of the lectures to get the option for this single evaluation.

Requisits mínims per aprovar:
To pass this course students have to get a grade of 5 or higher either with regular or single evaluation.

Tutoria

Students (single or in reduced groups) can contact teachers by mail and agree a tutorial meeting to solve doubts about the content of the course.

Comunicacio i interacció amb l'estudiantat

General notifications to the students will be done through the Moodle Platform.

The main way of teachers-students communication will be by mail. Students and teachers can agree an appointment for a meeting (single or in reduced group) at a time and place suitable for both to solve any kind of doubts that cannot be solved by mail.

Modificació del disseny

Modificació de les activitats:
Blended teaching
Lectures will be done either by streaming using Blackboard Collaborate platform at the hours scheduled in the initial calendar of the course (unless another time schedule is agreed with all the students and teachers) or they will be recorded in videos of duration between 15-30 min, which will cover the whole content of each subject of the course, and uploaded to the web page of the course in Moodle platform. Through this platform a discussion forum will be opened for each subject to solve doubts and / or debate aspects of the lectures that warrant it.
Every week (for 1 hour and half) or in the third week (for 3 hours), teachers will meet with the students to solve doubts about the content of the course that cannot be solved by mail or through the forums or by videoconferences.

STUDENTS AT RISK

Course: Student at risk will be able to follow the lectures by streaming or use the videos uploaded in Moodle.

Modificació de l'avaluació:
Evaluation in blended teaching
Whenever possible (room class big enough to assure safe healthy conditions) the evaluation will be done as in face-to-face teaching.
If the safe healthy conditions cannot be attained, students will be assessed by doing the exam (70% of the final grade), split in two activities: a) multiple choice questions exam (30% of final grade); b)short open questions, reasoned true/false questions (40% of the final grade) online using the Moodle platform. Students will be informed on how exactly the exam will be at due time.
The work on a subject related to the course that they have to perform (30% of the final grade) does not change relative to face-to face teaching.

Evaluation in online teaching
Students will be evaluated by doing the exam (70% of the final grade), split in two activities: a) multiple choice questions exam (30% of final grade); b)short open questions, reasoned true/false questions (40% of the final grade) online using the Moodle platform. STUDENTS AT RISK

The exams will be done online using Moodle platform while the work will be presented as in face-to-face teaching.

Tutoria i comunicació:
General notifications to the students will be done through the Moodle Platform.
The main way of teachers-students communication will be by mail. Students (single or in reduced groups) and teachers can agree a tutorial meeting by Google Meet or other communication platforms that the teachers consider appropriate to solve doubts about the content of the course or any other subjects not directly related to the course content.
