Speaking activities - debates, expression of opinions, polite conversation, giving detailed information etc. The speaking tasks are part of holistic activities that give the student the opportunity of developing many different skills at the same time. Oral presentations, tutorial.

The speaking tasks will be evaluated on overall impression, register and task achievement, cohesion,fluency and organization, vocabulary range and control, and grammatical range and accuracy.

The listening tasks will include multiple choice questions, gap filling and selection.

Qualificació

Continuous evaluation:

The four skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking are worth 20% each of the total mark and will be evaluated via different types of activities.

The remaining 20% corresponds to activities in class (10%) and activities outside class (10%)


Single session evaluation:

The mark will be given by the sum of the results in all the language skills evaluated in the exam.

Here is the breakdown of the points:

Total of 100 points:

Writing 25 points: 2 Writings
Speaking 25 points: Interaction with the examiner
Listening 25 points: 2-3 Listenings
Reading 25 points: 2-3 Readings

To pass, a student must achieve a minimum of 50% of the 100 possible and achieve a minimum of 50% for each skill.

Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
Students who have done neither Continuous Evaluation nor the single session exam will be "No presentat".

Avaluació única:
The mark will be obtained from an exam which will evaluate the skills of writing, speaking, listening and reading.

Requisits mínims per aprovar:
To pass the course, the student has to achieve a minimum of 5 overall and a minimum of 5 in each of the following areas: Participation, Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening

Tutoria

The student will be invited to a tutorial with the teacher half-way through the course to discuss progress.

If the student wants to talk to the teacher outside class, they should contact the teacher to arrange a suitable time.

Observacions

You should have attained the European Language level B2.2 in English in order to register for this course. This course can be taken independently of the Domini funcional efectiu 2 course.

Students are expected to attend 100% of the classes.

Modificació del disseny

Modificació de les activitats:
Durant les hores de classe previstes, a través de una eina de video conferencia, es realitzarà una classe virtual amb el suport del llibre de text i material al Moodle de l'assignatura i amb interacció dels alumnes.

Els treballs realitzats pels estudiants seran exposat a classe a través de una eina de video conferencia.

Modificació de l'avaluació:
Les activitats d’avaluació previstes en el disseny de l’assignatura es mantenen en el ben entès que totes es realitzaran mitjançant vies no presencials.

Tutoria i comunicació:
l’hora de classe es donaran totes les instruccions necessàries pel seguiment de l’assignatura, a més es farà una entrada al fòrum de l’assignatura per a que en quedi constància.
