From the beginning the Park was conceived as a project promoted by the University to facilitate the transfer of knowledge generated at the University to businesses, especially those in the productive sectors of the UdG region. As such, the Park foments research in the University’s own research groups and complements student training and job integration initiatives.

The Park has been designed and planned to channel the resources and activities that are usually included in these projects, such as joint venture university/business R&D centres, business initiatives and support activities. The Park has specialized in areas according to an analysis of the existing R&D expertise in university groups and the existing R&D needs of regional businesses.
