The general objective of the master’s programme is to contribute to the training of professionals who may then become the driving forces for change in the educational communities where they work, promoting inclusive education and better responding to the educational needs of children and youths. The Master’s in Inclusive Education – Addressing Diversity aims to: 1. Provide up-to-date theoretical training in educational inclusion and addressing diversity and apply it to develop inclusive practices. 2. Provide advanced training in addressing diversity among students and their educational needs, and to face the challenges of educating vulnerable students with social, emotional or behavioural needs from the perspective of inclusive education. 3. Develop knowledge and skills to promote learning among all students by (a) identifying and reducing obstacles to learning and participation, (b) developing teaching-learning contexts that recognise differences and value diversity, (c) implicating children and youths in their own learning, and (d) developing the supports required to respond to student diversity. 4. Improve competencies in educational research into inclusive education aimed at addressing diversity. The aim, therefore, is to train skilled professional with the expertise to: a) understand the complexities of addressing diversity in inclusive education; b) address problems and carry out quality actions to solve them using existing territorial resources; and c) develop educational projects for children and youths with different educational needs.
