One of the main characteristics of current university teaching is the importance placed on its international focus, which should be promoted at all levels of the university community: among students, teaching and research staff, and administrative and service staff. That international character is made possible by institutional relations established and regulated through exchange agreements and mobility and exchange programmes (information only available in Catalan), as well as specific grant programmes in support of them (including grants for persons with special needs), whether YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME (information available in Spanish and in English) as if YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO (information available in Catalan).
At the University of Girona these aspects are handled by the External Relations Office (ORE). The ORE deals with well-known programmes such as ERASMUS and SICUE, and many others covering a wide range of options and countries. By extension, it is also the administrative unit in charge of welcoming programme participants from other universities and assisting them in many areas, including housing.
In addition, the ORE collects and handles data about the UdG’s participation in international networks and associations and collaborates in different projects of various sizes associated with community funding, such as ALFA or TEMPUS, or specifically related to the Office or to the UdG community in general.
