What is the Self-access centre?
It is an area which offers two options to students and staff of the University of Girona.
- Organisation: Two languages can be studied in the classroom: English and French. Materials are classified in various sections, so that you can practise all aspects of the language: reading, listening, watching videos, vocabulary, tests, grammar, phonetics. They are also arranged according to four levels of difficulty.
- Equipment: The self-access centre is equipped with computers connected to the Internet, cassette players, CD-players, television, video, DVD and satellite television.

Computer Rooms
LOCATION
The Faculty of Education Sciences and Psychology has four computer labs, three on the 4th floor of the Emili Grahit building and one in Carrer Castell de Peralada.
EQUIPMENT
Rooms 1 and 2 Emili Grahit :
40 computers for students (22 in Room 1 and 18 in Room 2)
Specifications : Celeron 1100 with 256 Mb of RAM, 20 Gb HD, CD reader
Room 3 Emili Grahit :
18 computers: Celeron 733 with 128 Mb of RAM, 20 Gb HD, CD reader
Peralada Room:
20 computers for students + 1 for the lecturer
10 PIII with 128 Mb of RAM, 9.5 Gb HD
10 PIII with 256 Mb of RAM, 19 Gb HD
All computers are equipped with Windows 2000 and the UdG's standard software packages (Microsoft Office and the Statistics package SPSS)
All rooms have an overhead projector.
HOURS
The rooms are open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 21.30.
Access to the rooms depends on the teaching schedule which can be found outside each room.
