This competition is seeking an integrated technological solution for managing the care and welfare of persons in police custody. (United Kingdom)
This technology must remotely monitor individuals, provide an earlywarning and an interventionalertsystem. The solution will ideally have:
• A biometric capability to allow health care professionals to carry out remote consultations
• The ability to indicate whether any potential internal concealment presents a clinical risk
Projects mustbe able to look at remote monitoring without using wearable devices and be transferable to any custody suite in Scotland.

- 20 March 2019: Registration closes at 12 pm
- 10 May 2019: Applicants notified
- 07 June 2019: Phase 1 contracts awarded and feedback
Tender:
- Phase 1: Technical feasibility
- Projects can range in size up to a maximum cost of £30,000 and should last up to 6 months. Total funding availableof£150,000 for5 projects.
- Phase 2: Prototype development evaluation
- Projects can range in size up to a maximum cost of £200,000. Total funding available of £400,000 for 2 projects
