This could include:

• Earlier means of obtaining consent for treatment

• Improving real-time communication sharing between the criminal justice system and health care providers

• Transferring information to health care services earlier, giving them more timeto prepare

Projects in phase 1 will getto work with potential endusers from:

a) South Eastern and Belfast Health and Social Care Trust

b) Northern Ireland Prison Service

c) Police Serviceof Northern Ireland, including Forensic Medical Service

d) Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunal Services

Events:

• 13 March 2019: Registration closes at 12pm
• 20 March 2019: Competition closes at 12pm
• 10 May 2019: Applicants notified of decision
• 07 June 2019: Phase 1 contracts awarded and feedback

Tender:

• Phase 1: Technical feasibility
  • Projects can range in size up to a maximum cost of £50,000 and should last up to 6 months. Total funding availableof£250,000 for5 projects.
• Phase 2: Prototype development and evaluation
  • Projects can range in size up to a maximum cost of £500,000. Total funding available of £1,000,000 for 2 projects and shouldlastupto 12 months.
