Participation in the XXXVIIth Biennial Meeting of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics

Jordi Colomer and Teresa Serra, together with other researchers from the University of Girona, participate in the XXXVIIth Biennial Meeting of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics (RSEF) with the oral presentation “Evaluating knowledge and assessment-centered reflective-based learning approaches in a first year physics class”.

Dr. Jordi Colomer and Dr. Teresa Serra, together with Dr. Dolors Cañabate from the group on Education, Heritage and Intermediate Arts (GREPAI: Grup de recerca en Educació, Patrimoni i Arts Intermèdia) of the University of Girona, participate in the XXXVIIth Biennial Meeting of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics (RSEF). Jordi Colomer gives the oral presentation entitled “Evaluating knowledge and assessment-centered reflective-based learning approaches in a first year physics class”. This research has been developed within the framework of the “Dissemination and Innovation in the Teaching of Physics” research line of the Environmental Physics group.

The Biennial Meeting of the RSEF visits the Ebro capital for the first time since 1950. The organizers represent most of the departments and research centers from the University of Zaragoza and from CSIC that are active in the different branches of Physics. The Biennial Meeting presents the best of research, technology transfer, dissemination and teaching and devotes an especial effort to supporting young and female researchers. Like in previous editions, there will be awards for the best contributions from doctoral students (2) and postdoctoral researchers (2) to the different symposia. As a novelty, it has been created a best video-abstract award to encourage and recognize the effort in making science accessible to a general public. And last, but not least, there is a very appealing open program named “Physics for everybody”.
