José Alberto Mendez González. Senior lecturer at the University of Girona. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Sciences (University of Salamanca) in 1999, and subsequently a Doctorate from the Complutense University of Madrid (2002). He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Girona in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Agriculture and Agro-Food Technology of the University of Girona. His lines of research focus on the manufacture of composite materials with biodegradable polymeric matrices, as well as their functionalization for advanced applications. He is author (co-author) of more than 70 scientific publications and principal researcher of several competitive projects, both nationally and internationally.
