Semester Activities

Every semester we offer a series of cultural activities you can carry out with your exchange partner. The goal behind these activities is, on the one hand, for mobility students to gain better knowledge of our culture and traditions and, on the other, to create a network of relations between all the participants in the programme.

The activities can be registered for through a form. Consult the calendar to find out the date on which you will receive the message with your registration instructions.

There are two types of activities, those organised by the Modern Languages Service on a specific day, time and place, and those that you can do together with your partner (Enjoy the Fairs, Girona's museums, Christmas in Girona and Beyond the city of Girona).

Activities in the current semester:

Evaluation

The follow-up and evaluation of the participation in the exchange programme is done through a Moodle course.

This course contains a series of tasks; there are three types:

  • What do you know about your partner's place of origin? You have to answer a series of questions about the characteristics, customs and lifestyles of your partner's place of origin.
  • Tell us about a meeting with your partner. We ask you to explain briefly how five of the meetings you have had with your partner during the programme have turned out. This does not mean that you only have to do five meetings, because in five meetings you will hardly be able to complete the 35 hours of exchanges that you have to do.
  • What activity did you take part in with your partner? You have to give a short summary of how the cultural activities in which you have participated with your partner have developed.

In addition, the course corresponding to the language exchange and volunteering programme, which gives you two credits, contains two tasks to complete, in which you and your partner have to reflect on the topics covered and answer the questions proposed.

In all the formats of the exchange programme, it is necessary to have completed the Moodle course before the end of the programme in order to obtain the credits.

Remember that you must also attend a final interview with the person in charge of the exchange programme. The purpose of the interview is to find out how you personally assess your participation in the exchange; it is not a test to assess your knowledge. Consult the calendar for the interview dates and how to register.
