Personalised attention from the IMYS coordinator via Skype or in-person tutorials for all those interested in pre-enrolment, in order to resolve any queries that the information on the website may have caused.

First, a group session, before a one-on-one session at the time of enrolment. Every year, an in-person enrolment session is scheduled as part of which the study coordinator presents the programme, the curriculum and the most relevant aspects that students must consider when enrolling on this master's degree. At this session, guidance is provided on:

• Information about scholarships.
• Presentation of the subject coordinators, and classes imparted in an alternating way between the six universities participating in the master's degree.
• Study load of the different subjects.
• Option of completing the course in two or more years.
• Curriculum and optional subjects.
• Youth and territory: study and travel.
• External placements: dedication and functioning.
• Master's thesis: planning.
• Tutorial action plan.
• Calendar and timetable.
• Others.

Finally, more specific queries relating to enrolment and the necessary administrative formalities are addressed.

At the beginning of each year, a reception session is held at which the 6 university coordinators of the master's degree participate. The main purpose is to present the teaching staff and students. At this session, the Master's Degree General Information Dossier is discussed and, based on this, essential aspects that can facilitate the students’ time at the six universities are addressed: the calendar, guidance and methodology of the different training modules, libraries, Moodle (virtual classroom) and assessment.

In November, each student is assigned to a tutor of reference, who be responsible for monitoring and supporting the student throughout the period that the student remains on the master's degree. This tutor will accompany the student during his/her time on the master's degree and will serve as a reference for any doubts or academic difficulties. This tutor will also be placement and master's thesis tutor. The IMYS PAT prefers, as this education is imparted in a single academic year, to consolidating guidance and monitoring time in a single figure, to promote the guidance process and establish an educational relationship that provides for suitable academic and professional guidance.

On the IMYS, teaching staff are assigned to the Practicum and Master’s Thesis tutorials based on the following criteria:

• The Practicum and Master’s tutor is the same, in other words, the same professor who serves as a student’s Practicum tutor will also be his/her Master’s Thesis tutor. This facilitates the usefulness and complementariness of tutorials as well as the skills worked on in both subjects.
• For the large part, the coordinators of the IMYS from each of the six universities appoint themselves as tutors, thus guaranteeing the overall coordination of the educational project and ideal coordination through meetings of the Educational Board of Coordination.
• Tutors may also be assigned from the teaching staff imparting subjects on the degree and who have a close relationship with other subjects on the IMYS. These members of the teaching staff are knowledgeable not only about the degree but also the curriculum and the professional profile, and the students themselves.
• The assignment of a student in one year will see the same tutor assigned in the following year, if the degree is not completed in the first year. Only in case the student requests so, providing justification to the Educational Board of Coordination, will a change of tutor be considered. 

No specific number of individual tutorials to be held is set, as the circumstances of each student are singular and different. However, for the purposes of illustration, it is recommended to:

• Fulfil the tutorial requests made by students, whenever students comply with the allocated orders and tasks.
• In addition to the three group tutorials detailed below, tutors shall hold a minimum of three individual tutorials during the year, whether in person or online. The final tutorial must include authorisation of the Master’s Thesis.

In January, a group tutorial is held with all IMYS students and tutors. The objective is to:

• Provide information about the start of practical classes accordingly and resolve any queries that may arise concerning their development, tutorials and assessment.
• Revise the situation of the Master’s Thesis and make a brief presentation of the work of each student, sharing queries and interests.
• Review the functioning of the master's degree.

In April, a second group tutorial takes place in order to:

• Review the development of practical classes.
• Monitor and encourage the development of the master's thesis.
• Present study and travel and resolve any queries.

The third group tutorial with all students and placement tutors is held when classes on the master's degree are completed in mid-June. The purpose of this tutorial is to:

• Hold the placement exchange session.
• Share the development of the Master’s Thesis.
• Assess the master's degree.

Once the student has presented the Master’s Thesis, one final tutorial is held with the tutor to round off the monitoring process out and perform an evaluation. At this session, the student is asked to complete an anonymous online assessment survey of the IMYS and the PAT.
