Technology: This subject area analyses teaching work in the context of a secondary education centre: structure, organisation and documents in a technology department. The subject area invites students to discover the most significant features of the technology curriculum at the different educational levels and, in particular, compulsory secondary education. This knowledge will allow the student to develop didactic programmes and make it easier to follow other subject areas on the master's degree. The subject area also invites the student to discover different types of activities, including troubleshooting, small searches, experimental work or the undertaking of research works in upper secondary school education. At this point of transition at the university, the subject area analyses and introduces certain interconnected factors between the institute and university and the institute and other educational institutions.

This module provides an introduction to the teaching and learning of sciences in secondary education, in order to establish a general frame framework and a theoretical foundation, for the other programme-specific modules.

Understand the curricular contents of subject areas relating to Social Sciences, in addition to the body of didactic knowledge concerning the respective education and learning processes.
The foundations and resources used to educate secondary students their personal development and the development of citizens will be presented. This involves promoting their personal independence, activating citizen participation, valuing coexistence in democracy, reflecting on rights and duties, explaining the sense of collective belonging, rejecting discrimination and developing environmental responsibility. The historical cultural and historical diversity of societies will be used to extract didactic resources.
The subject has been planned in such a way that students learn in the same way that they will teach, i,e,, with inductive methodologies based on real-life problems. Therefore, lessons learned must be significant, students must be conscious of their own learning and in general, must learn to work as established in the curriculum for the skills established in the Organic Law on Education. The subject is structured in three main blocks: the first is a general introduction to the teaching of social sciences, the second is dedicated to the curriculum and programming in the classroom (considering that the basic aspects of programming are explained in module 1) and the third block, the most extensive, is dedicated to working on the methodologies, activities and assessment of social sciences in secondary education.

The main issues relating to linguistic diversity around the world and in modern-day Catalonia will be presented and debated: the main characteristics of the structural variation of languages, their relationship with cultural diversity, their social inclusion and corresponding stereotypes and the relationship of all these aspects with the processes of acquiring a second languages.
