Master's Degree in Alimentary Biotechnology

The Master's Degree in Food Biotechnology equips degree holders to design, plan and execute research and development and to exercise professional competences related to biotechnology in the area of food. 

It is an accredited Master's Degree with progress towards excellence according to the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Catalonia (AQU).

The teaching staff, personalized attention, quality of the laboratories and learning support services obtained the maximum score given by the AQU. The existence of the Polytechnic School Trust, the organ that connects with different public and private sectors in the province of Girona, and the programme’s focus on professional application of the course were also highlighted.

Joint Master in Integrated Crop Protection (PIC)

The Master's Degree in Integrated Crop Protection offers students training in the areas of pest, disease and weed control, bearing in mind economic, toxicology and environmental criteria. Moreover, it also trains researchers capable of developing and applying new methods of control that respect human health and the environment.

 

The Interuniversity Master's Degree in Integrated Crop Protection is coordinated by the University of Lleida. It started during academic year 2007-2008 and has been offered in conjunction with Universitat Jaume I since 2009 and the University of Girona since 2013. The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya also participates in the master’s degree.
