Social structure:

Poverty, marginalisation and educational and social exclusion

For a decade, some members of GRES have been analysing the social structure of different populations in Catalonia by means of a complex matrix, which has allowed them to discern different levels of poverty, marginalisation and social exclusion. From an essentially qualitative perspective, the research approached from this area addresses how training and educational, cultural, work, leisure and free time, and health and housing aspects, among others, modulate and condition people’s welfare.
