Diagnosis:
22% of the doctoral teaching staff teaching the Bachelor's degree in Medicine are accredited (AQU, ANECA) 42% of the doctors do not have the relevant accreditations available on the part of the AQU/ANECA because of the recent introduction of medical studies at the UdG and also the lack of sufficient information that associated medical doctors receive on the accreditation process
Appraisal:
It is increasing at a sufficient rate and within the academic and employment context of the lecturers, but this is a long process requiring more time for consolidation. Since the Faculty of Medicine has no jurisdiction over the process for obtaining teaching-staff accreditations, the suggestion is to close this goal and replace it with more aligned with the FM's powers such as informing and incentivising the teaching staff about the need for and convenience of obtain the corresponding accreditations. In the last three years and in the following years, the number of attached professors will be increased at a rate of two per year, with the consent of the Joint Commission. During the 2022-2023 academic year, the schedule established with the Joint Commission has been followed. Assessment of the dean: During the year 2023, since the change of the new dean's team, no meeting of the UdG-ICS Joint Commission has been held. There is, however, the agreement reached in this Commission that at least every academic year there would be a call for 1 linked position of associate professor.

Description:
Although the Faculty of Medicine and the university have numerous teacher training initiatives, in the case of the medical studies at the University of Girona there are two factors that make these continuing education activities insufficient. On the one hand, most teachers are associates and it is difficult for them to attend the teaching activities organised by the ICE. On the other hand, PBL is the main teaching methodology of FM and there are few advanced courses on this methodology. As a consequence, faculty and hospital teachers have a low participation in teacher training activities.
Diagnosis:
In 2022, AQU Catalunya, in the context of the accreditation of the Bachelor's degree in Medicine of the University of Girona, reports that the teaching activities for teachers are insufficient.

The student-satisfaction surveys on PBL tutors are still being analysed. The person responsible for the analysis of the surveys has been appointed
Appraisal:
FM student-satisfaction surveys on PBL tutors and the module have been automated. This improvement provides automatic results that can be processed later. During the 2022-2023 academic year there was a low response rate from students regarding PBL tutors, meaning individualised results could not be shown. On the other hand, the experience of the electronic administration survey on the module was more satisfactory, obtaining a response rate for the satisfaction survey for the module of in the first semester of 17.03%, rising to 21.12% in the second semester. As the 2022-2023 academic year was the first time the administration conducted the survey in this format, the hope is to get better response rates in the next editions.

Description:
In 2016, during the first GM accreditation report that considered the GM tutorial action plan as a strong point: “It is clear that the academic guidance service responds both to the needs of newly admitted students and to students already enrolled. The effectiveness of the tutorial action plan as a fundamental element of student support in the teaching-learning process is clearly demonstrated, as reflected in the evolution of academic performance indicators. The tutorial action plan has been progressively adapted to the needs of the students. The professional orientation is adequate, considering the available evidence and the satisfaction regarding the adequacy of the activities carried out (type, duration, dissemination, implementing agents...)". This change in the assessment of the GM's TAP occurs despite the fact that 'has introduced any modification in the TAP between the first and the second accreditation.
Diagnosis:
In 2022, AQU Catalunya, in the context of the accreditation of the Bachelor's degree in Medicine at the University of Girona, reports that the TAP of the degree in Medicine at the UdG is insufficient.
Appraisal:
The Faculty of Medicine must establish a comprehensive TAP that goes beyond the guidance offered by the teaching staff in the modules of the curriculum.
