Bachelor's degree in History of Art Academic year 2024-2025 The basic aims are to train professionals with an overall knowledge of all areas linked to the history of art, and who are capable of carrying out their duties in an ideal way and taking part in projects; to provide rational and critical knowledge of artistic production throughout history and its manifestations in different cultures; to help students acquire and put into practice the skills of an art historian; to prepare students to enter the profession and to organise and plan individual work as part of a collective.
As with any other humanistic discipline, intellectual curiosity, capacity for expression, a reflexive spirit, and the desire to delve into the heart of historical time are very useful qualities to progress along the paths of the history of the art. But a certain sensitive predisposition can also be a useful attribute if we consider that the history of the art is the study of some very special cultural objects, historical objects with an aesthetic dimension. Skills acquired Your competences are not limited to transferring content or developing activities. Besides acquiring knowledge or learning to demonstrate your capacity for elaborating tasks, you need to know how to approach and solve problems without detracting from the ethical principles and social commitment that have to govern all academic and work activity. All competences can be evaluated and must be capable of being identified with the results of learning.
