St George’s Cross

Saint George’s Cross is a distinction of the Government of Catalonia created based on Decree 457/1981 of 18 December, in order to ‘distinguish the natural or legal persons who, for their merits, have given outstanding services in Catalonia in the defence of its identity or, more generally, in the civic and cultural plan’. Saint George’s Cross is an award designed by goldsmith Joaquim Capdevila i Gaya.
