Objectives

General objective and specific objectives

The general objective is to study the ethical, social and legal impact and the risks and opportunities of implementing AI in daily life in Catalonia, as well as from a fully cross-disciplinary perspective.

Specific objectives

Metrics

Determine the metrics to analyse the evolution and implementation of AI in Catalonia and its impact in terms of Ethics and Society.

Technological solutions

Promote the development of technological solutions based on an ethical, robust and reliable AI.

Personal well-being

Ensuring the AI application improves the well-being of people in a safe, fair way and respecting our social and cultural rules.

Consequences and risks

Study the ethical and legal consequences and the risks of implementing AI in all social, economic and cultural aspects and in a cross-disciplinary manner.

Transparency and oversight

Generating best practices in the introduction of AI, ensuring transparency and oversight.

Monitoring

Monitoring the use and abuse of data to preserve the integrity and welfare of individuals, to facilitate the introduction of AI at companies and administrations.

Networking

Ensuring networking, in coordination with national institutions that play a role in the development and implementation of AI.
