To this end, the ambassadors are chosen by the management and advisory board at the Centre for Olympic Studies, appraising the sporting experience, Olympic Games participation, the human value of the sports person and their territorial connection. The presentation and outstanding profile of Fernando Climent and David Barrufet as the first ambassadors of the CEO have helped to spread the message of the Olympic movement and sport as part of the activities organised. Recently, the professional basketball player Ricky Rubio joined the ambassadors programme.

What’s more, as the ambassadors programme gets bigger, with the creation of the figure of the honorary ambassador, recognising the personal and professional experience of persons who have assumed major responsibility in the organisation of the Olympic Games and spreading the Olympic Movement in our region, Pere Miró is an honorary ambassador of the Centre for Olympic Studies.
