Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) Partner Country scholarships
EMJMD Partner Country scholarships are awarded to applicants selected by the EMTM consortium who are nationals of a Partner Country (all countries outside the 28 EU Member States, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey) and who are not residents nor have carried out their main activity (studies, training or work) for more than 12 non-consecutive months over the last 5 years in one of the 28 EU Member States, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey.
The scholarship includes the students' participation costs (including tuition fees, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs related to the students' participation in the course), a contribution to student travel and installation cost and a subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme. Details on the scholarship amounts are given in the table below:
Contribution to the participation costs
Tuition fees, full insurance coverage and other costs related to the students’ participation in the course up to 16.000 Euros, which are paid by the European Commission to the EMTM coordinating institution.
Contribution to the travel and installation costs
2,000 € per year for travel costs + 1,000 € for installation costs for scholarship holders residents of a Partner Country whose location is situated at less than 4,000 km from the EMJMD coordinating HEI.
3,000 € per year for travel costs + 1,000 € for installation costs for scholarship holders residents of a Partner Country whose location is situated at 4,000 km or more from the EMJMD coordinating HEI.
Contribution to subsistence costs
1,000 € per month for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme (24 months maximum). Contribution to subsistence costs will not be given to the scholarship holders for the EMJMD (study /research /placement / thesis preparation) periods spent in their country of residence.
Students applying for a scholarship are not allowed to submit a scholarship application to more than three EMJMD Consortia.
Students who have already obtained an EMJMD scholarship or an Erasmus Mundus Master Course scholarship are not eligible to apply for a second scholarship under the EMJMD programme.
Students benefiting from an EMJMD scholarship cannot benefit from another European Union grant while pursuing their master’s studies.
Students who are nationals of Programme Countries (all countries within the 28 EU Member States, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey) are not eligible to apply for an EMJMD Partner Country scholarship.
EMJMD Partner Country scholarships available for course 2016-2018
The maximum number of EMJMD Partner Country scholarships available for course 2016-2018 will be 3 scholarships.
These numbers are provisional and subject to change. The final quantity of scholarships will be known by March 2016.

Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation scholarship
For 2016-2018 intake, Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation awards one
scholarship of 10,000 € to one EMTM student within the
foundation's Masters of Excellence programme. To apply for the
scholarship, candidates must have been admitted to enrol in EMTM, hold Spanish nationality and have outstanding academic
records. Students can apply for this scholarship by sending an email to
the EMTM Secretariat (firstname.lastname@example.org) before July 10th 2016.
